AMP IT, a Geneva-based EV charging operator, has closed a new funding round backed by the Swiss Technology Fund that brings its total capital raised to €7 million (about $8.25 million) since 2021. The Swiss company plans to deploy the proceeds across operational scaling, software development, and entry into selected European markets, with priority on the Nordics and Southern Europe. Founded in 2021, AMP IT designs, finances, installs, and operates smart EV charging infrastructure for residential buildings, commercial real estate, and corporate fleets under a charging-as-a-service model.
Highlights
- Latest round, backed by the Swiss Technology Fund, brings total funding to €7 million (~$8.25 million) since the company’s 2021 launch.
- AMP IT reports a development pipeline exceeding 15,000 charging points and double- to triple-digit annual revenue growth since inception.
- Capital will fund expansion into selected European markets, with the Nordics and Southern Europe named as priority targets.
- Proprietary AMP IT Hub software combines real-time monitoring, AI-powered scheduling, and subscription billing on a single platform.
A Charging-as-a-Service Bet on Private Infrastructure
AMP IT operates in a segment of the European charging market that has drawn renewed investor attention as the early public-charging buildout cools. The company packages hardware, financing, installation, and ongoing operation into a single subscription, removing the upfront capital burden for building owners. Its proprietary platform, AMP IT Hub, layers real-time monitoring, smart energy management, AI-powered charging scheduling, and subscription billing on top of the physical infrastructure.
The company said its algorithms prioritize locally produced renewable energy and manage demand dynamically, an approach designed to lower running costs for users while reducing pressure on the public grid. Co-founder Florian Mounayer framed the proposition around accessibility: “Users are increasingly looking for solutions that are simple, efficient, and affordable which is exactly what we provide. This funding allows us to accelerate our vision of transforming buildings into intelligent energy hubs.”
Pipeline and Growth Indicators
AMP IT reports a development pipeline of more than 15,000 charging points and double- to triple-digit annual revenue growth since inception, though it has not published audited utilization rates or installed-base figures. The company has previously partnered with Eaton on a Swiss Federal Office of Energy–backed RechargeAuPoint project that combines its software with Eaton’s “Buildings as a Grid” platform to integrate solar, energy storage, and EV charging in multi-residential, office, and logistics buildings.
Co-founder Maria Mozgovaya pointed to the broader market context: “Private EV charging is becoming a critical layer of the energy transition. We combine infrastructure, software, and energy management into one seamless platform.”
Geographic Expansion Plans
Switzerland remains the company’s primary market, but the new capital is earmarked in part for international rollout. Co-founder Ilya Tyuvildin said the company expects EV adoption in its target markets to accelerate against a backdrop of fuel-price volatility: “Switzerland remains our core market, but international expansion is a key pillar of our strategy.”
The €7 million total raised by AMP IT is modest against the broader European EV-infrastructure funding picture, which has been dominated by larger public-charging operators. According to Sifted, European EV startups raised €3.6 billion across 110 deals in 2025, with the early-2026 pace tracking lower as investors rotate toward business models with clearer unit economics. Private charging — where utilization is more predictable than at public sites — has emerged as one of the segments attracting that recalibrated capital. AMP IT has signaled that it expects its next funding round to be materially larger and to include industry investors.
