Audi has expanded its e-mobility product line with the release of its second-generation electric mountain bike. The new Audi electric mountain bike (eMTB) 2.0, developed in partnership with Fantic, features significant performance upgrades, a lower price point, and a design inspired by the Dakar-winning Audi RS Q e-tron.
Key Highlights
- New Model: The second-generation Audi eMTB 2.0 is powered by Italian e-bike manufacturer Fantic.
- Performance Upgrades: The bike includes an upgraded SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS electronic rear derailleur and larger EPTA STAGE brake rotors measuring 220mm (front) and 203mm (rear).
- Lower Price: Despite the upgrades, the eMTB 2.0 has an MSRP of $5,850, which is less than its predecessor.
- Inspired Design: The bike’s livery is modeled after the Audi RS Q e-tron, the brand’s electrified off-road racecar.
- Availability: Deliveries are expected by September 2025 and the bike is available through Audi Genuine Accessories.

Design and Components
The Audi eMTB 2.0 is based on Fantic’s XEF 1.9 Factory enduro model and features a lightweight aluminum frame designed for a relaxed riding position. Its full-suspension design includes an Öhlins TTX22m.2 coil-sprung rear shock and an Öhlins RXF38 m.2 air-sprung fork, both offering 180mm of travel.
This enduro-style bike uses a mixed-wheel setup, with a 29-inch front wheel for navigating obstacles and a 27.5-inch rear wheel for improved agility in turns. The bike is equipped with Mavic tubeless-ready wheels and Vittoria off-road tires, making it suitable for various terrains. Stopping power is managed by Sunstar Braking’s F.I.R.S.T. calipers.

Powertrain and Performance
Powering the eMTB 2.0 is a 250-watt Brose S-MAG motor that delivers up to 90 Nm of torque. The motor is fueled by a 36-volt, 720-Wh lithium-ion battery integrated into the frame. A digital display on the handlebars shows key information such as speed, battery status, and the current assistance level.
Riders can choose from four levels of electrical assistance, providing support at speeds up to 20 mph:
- Eco: Calibrated for maximum efficiency and range.
- Tour: Provides a moderate level of electrical boost.
- Sport: Offers powerful assistance for sport cycling.
- Boost: Delivers maximum power for challenging climbs.
The estimated battery range is between 12 and 90 miles, depending on the assistance level used, terrain, and rider weight.

The Audi eMTB 2.0 powered by Fantic is available for an MSRP of $5,850, excluding taxes. Customers can register their interest and find more information through the Audi Genuine Accessories website.
