The Audi Q6 e-tron has earned the highest safety rating from Euro NCAP, achieving a “five stars” rating and recognition as “Best in Class” for child safety. The electric SUV was tested across multiple safety categories, including adult occupant protection, child safety, and available assistance systems, excelling in all areas. The Audi Q6 e-tron will also make a public appearance at the 2024 Paris Motor Show where the Sportback version will be revealed.

The renowned European consumer protection organization Euro NCAP assessed the Audi Q6 e-tron in several categories, including adult occupant protection, child safety, vulnerable road user protection, and standard assistance systems. The vehicle scored impressively in all areas, reflecting Audi’s commitment to safety. The Q6 e-tron achieved a 91% rating in adult occupant protection, providing near-optimal safety for passengers. Notably, this was the first time post-crash functions—such as rescue data sheets and e-call—were evaluated in an Audi model, with the Q6 e-tron performing exceptionally well.
The Q6 e-tron received a 92% rating in child safety, earning it the “Best in Class” title for child safety among all vehicles tested in 2023 and 2024. The model is equipped with features that exceed regulatory requirements, including three i-Size seats, which ensures compatibility with child seats. Additionally, the front passenger seat comes with automatic deactivation of the front airbag for rear-facing child seats, enhancing the overall safety for children of all sizes. Audi’s restraint systems have also been improved, providing optimal protection for child passengers.
Safety is a core value at Audi, with 220 experts conducting more than 1,000 crash tests and approximately 20,000 virtual simulations annually. This dedication is reflected in the NCAP test results, which apply not only to the Q6 SUV e-tron but also to the Sportback variant and S models that will be available from 2025.
The Sportback version of the Q6 e-tron will be presented to the world for the first time on October 14 at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, showcasing Audi’s continuous efforts to lead in safety and innovation.
