Audi has introduced the Q6 Sportback e-tron, expanding its electric model lineup with a sleek, fully electric SUV that boasts an aerodynamic body and a range of up to 402 miles. Set to premiere at the Paris Motor Show 2024, the Q6 Sportback e-tron combines efficiency, performance, and elegant design, offering a spacious interior and multiple powertrain options, including 100kWh and 83kWh battery variants. The UK pricing starts from £62,475, with sales commencing in November 2024 and the first deliveries expected in April 2025.

Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron Debuts

The Q6 Sportback e-tron features a sporty and progressive silhouette, merging Audi’s classic SUV appeal with a coupé-like roofline. This combination makes it the range champion among the Q6 e-tron series, reaching up to 402 miles due to its aerodynamic enhancements. The model retains the versatility of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), offering improved performance, efficiency, and charging capabilities.

Interior space in the Q6 Sportback e-tron is designed with both practicality and comfort in mind, featuring a 511-liter luggage compartment and an optional 64-liter frunk. The long wheelbase offers ample room for rear passengers, while the high towing capacity makes it suitable for everyday needs, supporting up to 2,400kg in the quattro variant.

The design echoes iconic Audi elements like the first-generation TT Coupé, featuring a sloping roofline and a sporty stance. Aerodynamics play a crucial role, with a cd value of 0.28, helping achieve impressive efficiency. The front showcases a three-dimensional Singleframe, while the rear’s sleek architecture gives a dynamic yet sophisticated appearance.

The Q6 Sportback e-tron comes with four powertrain variants:

  • 83kWh battery, rear-wheel drive, and maximum range of 334 miles.
  • 100kWh battery, rear-wheel drive, and maximum range of 402 miles.
  • 100kWh battery, all-wheel drive, and maximum range of 390 miles.
  • SQ6 Sportback e-tron with 490PS and 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds.

Charging performance is supported by 800-volt technology, allowing for fast charging of up to 164 miles in 10 minutes and 10-80% charge in 22 minutes. The Q6 Sportback offers a sophisticated suspension system with adaptive air suspension for enhanced agility and comfort.

Audi’s state-of-the-art lighting technology enhances safety and personalization, featuring the active digital light signature and the second-generation digital OLED rear lights. These advanced features improve visibility and allow drivers to personalize their vehicle’s appearance through the MMI system or the myAudi app.

Exterior

The Q6 Sportback e-tron also integrates Audi’s latest infotainment system with Android Automotive OS and a new augmented reality head-up display. The Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System (standard in the SQ6 variant) delivers an immersive sound experience, further enhancing the driving environment.

In terms of safety, the Q6 e-tron has received a five-star Euro NCAP rating, with notable performance in Adult and Child Occupant Protection. The model features i-Size seats for enhanced child safety, making it one of the safest electric SUVs in its class.
