Bentley’s First All-Electric Luxury Urban SUV

Bentley’s first fully electric model, described as the world’s first true Luxury Urban SUV, is entering its pre-series build phase at the Crewe facility. The compact SUV, measuring under five meters in length, will combine the marque’s hallmark craftsmanship with advanced EV technology, including an industry-leading charging time of less than seven minutes for 100 miles of range. Global testing is underway as part of its final development program, ahead of a late-2026 launch and 2027 deliveries.

Evolving Powertrain Strategy

While Bentley remains committed to electrification, the company will continue producing plug-in hybrid and ICE models through at least 2035. This extension responds to sustained customer interest in hybridized performance and global market diversity.

Earlier in 2025, Bentley reintroduced the Bentayga Speed, reaffirming the brand’s ICE legacy. Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO, also confirmed plans to unveil a new limited-production, non-hybrid performance model before year-end, with potential for additional variants to follow.

“By introducing new internal combustion and hybrid powertrains, we’re ensuring every Bentley customer can experience our performance and craftsmanship—sustainably,” said Dr. Walliser. “Our first fully electric Bentley marks a bold new chapter, blending technological excellence with timeless design.”

Crewe ‘Dream Factory’ Investment

Bentley’s transformation at its Crewe headquarters remains central to Beyond100+. The site’s modernization—dubbed the Dream Factory—represents the company’s largest self-funded investment to date.

Recent developments include a new Design Centre and Integrated Logistics Centre, with a state-of-the-art Paint Shop scheduled to open in 2026. These facilities will underpin Bentley’s next generation of vehicles, enabling digital, flexible, and high-value manufacturing while supporting continued carbon-neutral operations.
