Bollinger Motors, Inc., an innovative electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, officially announced its partnership with LaFontaine Automotive Group, marking the group as its inaugural commercial dealership. This collaboration introduces the Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab, a pioneering all-electric class 4 commercial truck, to LaFontaine’s locations in Lansing and Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The B4 Chassis Cab stands out with its unique design, emphasizing safety and efficiency in the commercial EV sector. Bollinger Motors anticipates the commencement of the B4’s deliveries by the latter half of 2024. Founder and CEO Robert Bollinger expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, particularly highlighting the alignment of values and commitment to quality and customer service between Bollinger Motors and LaFontaine.

LaFontaine Automotive Group, with this new addition, expands its portfolio to 54 retail franchises across 39 locations, signaling a significant step in its growth and expansion strategy. The partnership enables LaFontaine to offer a broader range of commercial vehicles, reinforcing its presence in Michigan and its commitment to exceeding customer expectations not only in sales but also in service and support post-purchase.

Ryan LaFontaine, CEO of LaFontaine Automotive Group, emphasized the importance of the partnership in enhancing their commercial vehicle offerings and providing a comprehensive customer experience. Similarly, Brian Frania, the commercial and fleet director at LaFontaine, highlighted the group’s success in building a customer-first approach, which has significantly contributed to their growth in the commercial sector.

Jim Connelly, Bollinger Motors’ Chief Revenue Officer, outlined the company’s nationwide sales and service strategy, starting with LaFontaine and hinting at future partnerships to expand their reach across the United States.

This partnership follows recent strategic moves by Bollinger Motors, including collaborations with Our Next Energy for battery supplies and Roush Industries for vehicle assembly operations, further establishing its commitment to the development of electric commercial vehicles. Additionally, the B4 chassis cab’s qualification for federal clean vehicle tax credits underscores the environmental and economic benefits of transitioning to electric commercial vehicles.
