Mullen Automotive‘s subsidiary, Bollinger Motors, has announced a follow-on order from TEC Equipment for seven all-electric Bollinger B4 trucks. This order marks TEC’s continued interest in Bollinger’s electric vehicles and supports Bollinger’s mission to lead the commercial electric truck market. Payment for the vehicles has already been received, with revenue recognition in the current fiscal quarter ending in December 2024.

Key Highlights:

  • TEC Equipment’s second order includes seven Bollinger B4 trucks.
  • The trucks will be delivered to locations across California, Oregon, and Washington.
  • Bollinger’s B4 truck offers a 158-kilowatt-hour battery, 185-mile range, and a payload of 7,394 pounds.
  • Bollinger Motors qualifies for federal clean vehicle tax credits of up to $40,000 per vehicle, along with state incentives.

TEC Equipment, a family-owned, full-service truck and trailer dealership founded in 1976, has a vast network with over 30 locations across eight states. This order expands TEC’s partnership with Bollinger, following an initial order in October 2024 for three B4 trucks. The latest order will see trucks delivered to TEC dealerships in Fontana, Oakland, San Diego, California, Portland, Oregon, and Des Moines, Washington.

Jim Connelly, Bollinger Motors’ Chief Revenue Officer, commented: “The growth in our partnership with TEC Equipment through this transaction reaffirms our mutual commitment to bringing innovative vehicle solutions that help our customers improve both their bottom line, and the communities that they operate in.”

The Bollinger B4 is an all-electric Class 4 commercial truck, featuring a chassis cab design tailored to commercial use. The truck’s 158-kilowatt-hour battery and unique Quad-Bend chassis design offer robust performance and protection, making it suitable for a wide variety of fleet operations. The truck’s range of 185 miles and substantial payload capacity make it an excellent fit for commercial fleets looking to transition to electric solutions.

The B4 also qualifies for significant incentives, including federal tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act, which can reach up to $40,000 per vehicle, in addition to state incentives that can generate savings exceeding $100,000 for eligible businesses.

Bollinger Motors has been actively expanding its reach and capabilities in the past months. Recent achievements include:

  • Production launch on September 16
  • Regulatory compliance milestones, including FMVSS compliance and CARB certification
  • Agreements with Momentum Group (145 vehicles), Doering Fleet Management (70 vehicles), and EnviroCharge (50 vehicles)
  • Addition of multiple dealers and service centers, including Anderson Motors and Nacarato Truck Centers
  • Partnership with Our Next Energy for battery supply
  • Warranty administration partnership with Syncron and mobile service provided by Amerit Fleet Solutions
