The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ has earned two additional honors. Cars.com named the all-electric SUV its Best Luxury Car of 2026. Additionally, Southern California lifestyle magazine Nobleman selected it as SUV of the Year. These awards follow two earlier recognitions from MotorTrend, including SUV of the Year.
Highlights
- Cars.com named the 2026 Escalade IQ its Best Luxury Car, while Nobleman magazine awarded it SUV of the Year.
- The electric SUV offers a Cadillac-estimated 465 miles of range, up to 750 horsepower, and 8,000 pounds of towing capacity.
- Cadillac’s broader lineup earned multiple honors, including six Car and Driver Editors’ Choice awards and MotorTrend SUV of the Year.
First All-Electric Escalade Leads Cadillac’s EV Lineup
Introduced for the 2025 model year, the Escalade IQ is the first battery-electric version of Cadillac’s flagship full-size SUV. It serves as the range-topping model in an EV lineup that also includes the Optiq, Lyriq, and Vistiq.
The vehicle showcases a broad set of advanced technologies. Key features include:
- 55-inch diagonal pillar-to-pillar LED display
- Four-wheel steering for improved maneuverability
- Automatic doors
- Optional Super Cruise driver-assistance technology
Both the standard-wheelbase Escalade IQ and long-wheelbase Escalade IQL deliver these capabilities.
Performance and Practicality Specs
On the performance side, the Escalade IQ produces up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. The driver-selectable Velocity Max mode enables a 0–60 mph time of 5.0 seconds. Meanwhile, an estimated range of 465 miles positions it among the longest-range EVs on the market.
Practical considerations are well addressed, too. The SUV seats up to seven passengers. It offers a towing capacity of up to 8,000 pounds. Furthermore, the front-mounted eTrunk provides additional cargo space beyond the rear storage area.
Cadillac Earns a Wave of Industry Recognition
The Escalade IQ’s latest awards are part of a broader streak for Cadillac. In addition, six Cadillac models earned Car and Driver 2026 Editors’ Choice honors. The CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing also made the publication’s 2026 10Best list.
Other recent accolades include TheDrive.com naming the CT5-V Blackwing Best Performance Car and Best Car Overall for 2026. TopGear.com selected the Lyriq-V as its U.S. SUV of the Year. The outlet also named Cadillac its manufacturer of the year. As a result, the brand’s momentum now spans its electric, performance, and concept vehicles — including the Elevated Velocity concept, which won the EyesOn Design Best Concept of 2026 award.
