Cadillac recently teased its vision for the future of electric performance vehicles, marking a significant milestone as the V-Series celebrates its 20th anniversary. The reveal of Opulent Velocity, a concept car embodying the blend of luxury and speed, underscores Cadillac’s commitment to zero-emission technology without sacrificing its signature opulence and performance.

He stated, “Opulent Velocity is designed to foreshadow a zero emissions expression of performance and modern luxury leadership.”

For two decades, the V-Series has epitomized American craftsmanship, technology, and performance, bridging the gap between the racetrack and the open road. The 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing continue this legacy, offering refreshed aesthetics while maintaining the series’ hallmark power and performance.

The 20-year anniversary of the V-Series was commemorated at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, where Cadillac highlighted its long-standing connection to motorsports and the symbiotic relationship between its racing endeavors and road vehicle development. Brandon Vivian, Cadillac’s executive chief engineer, emphasized this connection: “V-Series forges a transformative relationship between Cadillac’s championship-winning motorsports program and the road vehicles it influences.”

Cadillac’s participation in the Sebring race not only celebrates the V-Series’ storied past but also looks ahead to defending their previous victory, underscoring the brand’s ongoing commitment to excellence in both the racing and electric vehicle arenas.
