CUPRA has expanded its Tavascan electric SUV coupe lineup with a new entry-level variant and a suite of digital upgrades. The updated range, headed by a 190PS/58kWh model, enters production in the coming weeks. First customer deliveries in the UK are expected by late Q3 2026.
Highlights
- A new 190PS/58kWh variant joins the Tavascan range with approximately 270 miles of range and 10–80% charging in around 28 minutes.
- Interior updates include a larger 10.25-inch digital cockpit, a new steering wheel with physical buttons, and an Android-powered infotainment system.
- Mobile Device Key functionality allows smartphone-based vehicle access, with up to five digital keys per vehicle.
- Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability enables the battery to power external devices through a dedicated adapter.

New Entry-Level Powertrain
The 190PS/58kWh model sits below the existing 286PS/77kWh and 340PS/77kWh VZ variants. It features a 58kWh battery pack delivering approximately 270 miles of range on a single charge. DC fast charging supports 10–80% replenishment in around 28 minutes.
The motor produces 190PS. CUPRA positions the variant as a more accessible entry point to the Tavascan range while retaining the model’s electric SUV coupe form factor.

Digital Cockpit and Infotainment Overhaul
Inside, the updated Tavascan receives a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing the previous unit. A redesigned steering wheel now features physical buttons rather than touch-sensitive controls.
The infotainment system runs on an Android-based platform. It offers access to an integrated app store and supports smartphone-style functionality within the vehicle. Additionally, new electric air vents provide climate control that activates before the driver enters the cabin. The system adjusts airflow direction based on occupant position and sun angle.
Smart Card and Digital Key Access
The updated model introduces Mobile Device Key support. Drivers can unlock, start, and share vehicle access using a smartphone. Up to four digital keys can be shared with other users, with a fifth reserved for the primary owner.
Open on Approach and Walk Away Lock features add hands-free convenience. A Smart Card also provides temporary access when needed.

Vehicle-to-Load Capability
The Tavascan now supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality. Through a dedicated adapter, the vehicle’s battery can supply power to external devices such as laptops, e-bikes, or portable audio equipment. As a result, the SUV coupe can serve as a mobile power source.
Performance and Driving Features
Launch Control is available on 77kWh battery variants. It optimizes torque delivery for maximum acceleration from a standstill.
Meanwhile, One-Pedal driving is available across the range. The system manages acceleration and deceleration through the accelerator pedal alone. Lifting off the pedal triggers regenerative braking, recovering energy and bringing the vehicle to a complete stop without brake pedal input. This feature is particularly effective in urban and stop-and-go conditions.
Sennheiser Sound System Upgrade
The existing 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system receives new Contrabass and Concerto immersive audio technologies. Contrabass uses psychoacoustic techniques to enhance low-frequency output. Concerto immersive technology is designed to deliver surround-sound depth throughout the cabin.
New Exterior Color Option
CUPRA has also added Midnight Black to the Tavascan’s exterior color palette.
