DENZA has confirmed UK pricing for the D9 seven-seat MPV, with the Elegance trim opening the range at £75,000 ($100,900) and the range-topping Ultimate at £85,000 ($114,300). Both are available to order now with a Super Hybrid Dual Mode Intelligent and All-Wheel Drive (DM-i AWD) plug-in hybrid powertrain that the company says delivers 130 miles of electric-only range and 590 miles in total. DENZA describes the D9 as the first seven-seat premium MPV to support its FLASH Charging system, which the company reports takes the 58.5kWh battery from 10% to 70% in five minutes.

DM-i AWD Powertrain Pairs Two Motors With a Range Extender
The D9’s powertrain uses a front-mounted electric motor producing 231PS and a rear motor adding 61PS. In most conditions the two motors drive the wheels on their own, with a 120PS 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder engine serving primarily as a generator for the battery and motors. The engine supplements drive only under higher torque demand. DENZA reports a 0-62 mph time of 8.6 seconds.
Ride and body control are handled by the DiSus-C intelligent damping system, integrated into a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear layout. Compression and rebound damping rates adjust to balance cornering control against ride quality on rougher surfaces.
How Fast Does the D9 Charge?
The D9 is compatible with FLASH Charging, the ultra-fast system BYD Group demonstrated in the UK earlier this summer. According to DENZA, the 58.5kWh battery recharges from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes, while a 20% to 97% charge at -22°F (-30°C) takes 12 minutes. The company puts the equivalent maximum charging power at 559kW.
On a full charge, DENZA says the D9 travels up to 130 miles on electric power alone. With the gasoline engine assisting on longer journeys, the company quotes 590 miles from a full charge and a full tank.
Elegance and Ultimate Specifications Compared
The Elegance arrives with powered sliding doors for second- and third-row access, leather upholstery and a 11.8-square-foot (1.1 m²) panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade. Second-row occupants get an LCD armrest controlling climate and infotainment functions, and the cabin includes a cooling and heating compartment for food and drinks alongside a Devialet audio system. Front seats carry heating, ventilation and a 10-point massage function, with a heated steering wheel, a 15.6-inch touchscreen running Google built-in and a 10.25-inch instrument panel.
The Ultimate adds a set of features DENZA lists as exclusive to the flagship trim, headlined by zero gravity second-row seats that recline up to 152 degrees.

The Ultimate also carries a digital rear view mirror display, which DENZA says preserves rearward visibility with a full complement of passengers, and wood trim inserts spanning the dashboard into the door panels.
Cargo Capacity Across Seating Configurations
With all seven seats in place, cargo capacity ranges from 15.2 to 20.1 cubic feet (430 to 570 liters) depending on seat position. In four-seat mode, maximum load capacity rises to 81.6 cubic feet (2,310 liters).
The D9 joins the DENZA Z and the Z9 GT in the brand’s UK lineup as BYD Group’s premium marque establishes itself in Europe during 2026.
