DENZA has confirmed UK pricing for the Z9 GT, its first model to reach the market, with the Super DM plug-in hybrid starting at £95,000 (approximately $126,500) MSRP and the fully electric variant from £105,000 (approximately $139,800) MSRP. The launch follows the brand’s debut in Paris and marks DENZA’s official UK entry as the premium technology-led arm of BYD Group. UK customers can now register interest in the Z9 GT through the DENZA UK website, with the EV available to order first and the DM hybrid to follow at a later date. Both powertrains share an extensive standard specification headlined by Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and a 1,150W Devialet sound system.
Highlights
- UK pricing starts at £95,000 (approximately $126,500) MSRP for the Super DM plug-in hybrid and £105,000 (approximately $139,800) MSRP for the fully electric Z9 GT
- The EV’s three-motor layout produces 1,156PS and 1,210Nm (892 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0-62mph time of 2.7 seconds and a 167mph top speed
- WLTP-rated range reaches 373 miles for the EV and up to 500 miles for the DM hybrid on a full charge and tank
- FLASH Charging takes the Z9 GT from 10-97% in nine minutes — equivalent to adding 323 miles of WLTP range — at speeds of up to 1,500kW
High Performance and Long Range Across Both Powertrains
The Z9 GT launches in the UK with a fully electric powertrain priced from £105,000 (approximately $139,800) MSRP. The EV uses a three-motor layout, one at the front and two at the rear, for a combined output of 1,156PS and 1,210Nm (892 lb-ft) of torque, according to DENZA. That output takes the Z9 GT from 0-62mph in 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 167mph. Its 122kWh battery delivers a WLTP-rated 373 miles of electric range.
The Super DM plug-in hybrid, priced from £95,000 (approximately $126,500) MSRP, will join the EV in the range at a later date. Its three-motor system pairs with a 63.82kWh battery for up to 126 miles of electric-only range. Adding a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine extends total range to up to 500 miles on a full charge and full tank, DENZA says. Total output is 776PS and 1,035Nm (763 lb-ft), with a 0-62mph time of 3.6 seconds and a 161mph top speed.
FLASH Charging Sets a New Standard for Plug-In Vehicles
The Z9 GT is the first BYD Group model to bring FLASH Charging to the UK, building on the technology’s earlier public demonstration at Uxbridge. With speeds of up to 1,500kW, the system takes the Z9 GT from 10-70% in five minutes and 10-97% in nine minutes — equivalent to adding 323 miles of WLTP range in that time, according to DENZA. Even at -30°C, the Z9 GT can recharge from 20-97% in 12 minutes. The same charging capability applies to the DM’s battery. WLTP range figures are typically higher than EPA estimates used in the US, where the Z9 GT is not currently sold.

e³ Platform Introduces Advanced Chassis Technology
DENZA’s e³ platform underpins several of the Z9 GT’s chassis systems, the company says. DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension adjusts between two stiffness settings for comfort or handling, and integrates with the brand’s Vehicle Motion Control system to coordinate suspension, braking, and steering with signal transmission times as low as 10 milliseconds. That response speed lets the Z9 GT correct for a tire blowout and hold a straight course within a lane at speeds up to 112mph.
A rear-axle steering system lets the rear wheels turn together or independently of the front wheels and each other, enabling maneuvers such as crab-walking up to 8.5 degrees, a 360-degree compass turn, and a 5.35-meter turning radius. A parking assistant can identify a space and reverse the Z9 GT into it, activated from the driver’s seat or remotely via smartphone app.
Extensive Standard Specification
All Z9 GT models come with Nappa leather upholstery, including heating, ventilation, and massage functions for the front and outer second-row seats; rear passengers also get extended leg rests and reclining backrests. A 20-speaker, 1,150W sound system developed with French audio specialist Devialet uses Dolby Atmos for directional sound throughout the cabin. A dual-mode refrigerator between the front seats can chill to between -6°C and 6°C or heat to between 35°C and 50°C.
Buyers can personalize their Z9 GT with options including digital side mirrors (£1,600 / approximately $2,130) and 21-inch alloy wheels (£2,500 / approximately $3,330) in place of the standard 20-inch wheels. Three exterior finishes — Obsidian Black, Sandstone Silver, and Snow White — are included at no extra cost; Emerald Green, Dolomite Slate, and Midnight Blue cost £2,500 (approximately $3,330), while the matte Copper and Shadow Black finishes cost £4,500 (approximately $5,990).
