Faraday Future has officially commenced the assembly of FX Super One MPV pre-production vehicles. This manufacturing activity is taking place at the company’s facility in Hanford, California. The initiation of assembly precedes a formal rollout ceremony scheduled for December 21.
Highlights
- Production Start: Assembly has begun for the FX Super One MPV using recently arrived knockdown components.
- Strategic Validation: The milestone marks the near completion of the “Bridge Closure,” validating supply chain and logistics viability.
- Facility Capacity: The Hanford plant aims for an annual capacity of over 30,000 units following future investment.
Validating the Bridge Strategy
This production milestone serves as a critical validation of the company’s “Bridge Strategy.” This approach encompasses a closed operational loop involving supply chain management, testing, logistics, and customs clearance.
The successful start of assembly demonstrates the feasibility of this model regarding tariff adaptation and ICTS compliance. It also tests the company’s cost management and general operational efficiency.
Assembly follows the recent delivery of essential knockdown components. Approximately 3,000 parts per vehicle are required for the initial batch. These pre-production units will primarily serve testing and marketing purposes within the U.S.

Hanford Facility Capabilities
The manufacturing takes place at the “FF aiFactory California,” a 1.1 million-square-foot facility. To date, approximately $300 million has been invested in this multi-use site. It is currently responsible for assembling the company’s flagship FF 91 2.0.
Future plans for the Hanford site include scaling operations significantly. With additional permitting and investment, the facility could produce more than 30,000 FX vehicles annually.
The factory floor is currently being prepared to support flexible production lines. This setup is intended to facilitate mixed-line manufacturing, allowing for the simultaneous assembly of multiple vehicle models.
Engineering and Vehicle Specifications
Concurrent with assembly, Faraday Future is conducting comprehensive engineering validation. This includes rigorous safety testing to ensure the FX Super One meets quality and performance standards.
The pre-production phase allows for the testing of the entire assembly ecosystem. This includes verifying the logistics pipeline and training personnel on specific assembly procedures.
The FX Super One is positioned as an affordable mass-market MPV. It is designed to offer premium features and advanced technology. Key specifications and features include:
- Dual powertrain options starting with battery electric.
- Future availability of an AI hybrid extended range (AIHER) configuration.
- All-Wheel Drive (AWD) capability.
- High-end interior materials with ambient lighting.
