Production Timeline and Workforce Expansion
Orders for the 500 Hybrid opened on November 21, with Italian dealership open days scheduled the following weekend. To support anticipated demand, Stellantis plans to add a second production shift in March 2026, accompanied by approximately 400 new hires at the facility.
The 500 Hybrid is manufactured in Mirafiori’s historic “Carrozzerie” plant. Production represents a continuation of the 500 nameplate’s long association with Turin, where Fiat was founded.
Model Variants and Trim Levels
The 500 Hybrid lineup includes three body configurations:
- Hatchback
- 3+1 (asymmetric rear door design)
- Cabrio (convertible)
Customers can select from three standard trim levels—POP, ICON, and LA PRIMA—plus an exclusive “TORINO” special series created as a tribute to the vehicle’s production city.
Mirafiori Office Building Redevelopment
Concurrent with the 500 Hybrid launch, Stellantis officially began renovation of the Mirafiori Office Building. Originally opened 86 years ago, the structure will undergo comprehensive modernization with a target completion date of 2027.
Project Specifications
The redevelopment encompasses:
- Total area: 61,000 m² across five above-ground floors and two basement levels
- Façade restoration: 200-meter exterior covered in Finale stone
- Fenestration: Installation of 1,670 new windows
Sustainability Objectives
The renovation forms part of Stellantis’ European grEEn campus program, which also includes facilities in Poissy, France and Rüsselsheim, Germany. The project targets a positive annual energy balance through photovoltaic panel integration and smart centralized energy management systems.
Stellantis aims to achieve advanced sustainability certifications with high energy efficiency standards and significant CO₂ emission reductions.

Stellantis Chairman John Elkann characterized the dual announcements as representing renewed momentum for Turin and Mirafiori. CEO Antonio Filosa described the 500 Hybrid production launch as evidence of the company’s commitment to investing in Italian manufacturing.
The November 25 event drew approximately 200 attendees, including Italian Minister of Enterprise Adolfo Urso, Piedmont Region President Alberto Cirio, and Turin Mayor Stefano Lo Russo.
