Strategic European Expansion
The AION V’s entry into Finland is a pivotal component of GAC’s pan-European strategy. This plan accelerated following the signing of a global partnership agreement with Inchcape at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. The alliance combines Inchcape’s established sales and service network with GAC’s advanced technology. Finland is the first market in their collaboration, with further expansion planned for additional European countries.
AION V Features and Specifications
Designed to meet Finnish priorities for sustainability and safety, the AION V offers compelling advantages. The vehicle earned the 2025 Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, confirming its leadership in automotive safety. It boasts a WLTP range of 510 kilometers and supports ultra-fast charging, taking just 24 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. This capability, combined with Finland’s growing charger network, effectively addresses range anxiety for electric vehicle owners.
The interior features a spacious design supported by a 2,775-mm wheelbase and a 427-liter trunk capacity, making it ideal for various lifestyles. To ensure long-term reliability, the model includes an 8-year/160,000 kilometer vehicle warranty and an 8-year/200,000 kilometer battery warranty, reassuring customers about durability and ownership costs.
Future Outlook in Europe
Since debuting its “European Market Plan,” GAC Group has designated Europe as a strategic core market. The company has rapidly entered Poland, Portugal, and now Finland. By 2028, GAC aims for full coverage throughout the continent, supported by ongoing efforts in channel development, service system enhancement, and industrial chain integration. With more models and expanded service networks anticipated, GAC is positioned to play an integral role in the evolving global automotive industry.
