- Performance capabilities: Accelerates 0-200 km/h in 10.9 seconds, reaches 264 km/h top speed, generates 790 Nm peak torque with Boost Mode activated
- Design modifications: Features 20 mm lower ride height, wider fenders, 21-inch forged wheels, 275 mm tires, redesigned front/rear bumpers with three-hole cooling structure
- Exclusive technologies: Includes VGS system replicating ICE driving dynamics, Drift Mode with rear-wheel power distribution, HPBC battery temperature optimization for track performance

Strategic Positioning
Genesis announced its Luxury High Performance vision as the foundation for brand development through 2035. José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company and Genesis, stated the brand achieved one million global sales faster than any luxury manufacturer in history.
The strategy differentiates from conventional performance approaches centered on horsepower or speed. Genesis defines Luxury High Performance as combining refined elegance with seamless driving dynamics rather than excessive energy or intensity.
Luc Donckerwolke, President and Chief Creative Officer, explained that Magma represents a new direction elevating the brand toward true luxury through performance, demonstrating how emotion and precision coexist while maintaining Genesis’ elegance and balance.
Design Philosophy
The GV60 Magma embodies three core attributes defining the Magma lineup:
- Unspoken Dominance: Low, wide stance combining sophistication with athletic proportions
- Captivating Control: Precise power management enabling seamless movement across driving conditions
- Sharpened Immersion: Intuitive delivery of essential driving information enhancing focus

Exterior Specifications
The front design establishes a wider, lower stance compared to the standard GV60. The redesigned bumper features a three-hole structure improving airflow and cooling performance while serving as a Magma-specific identifier.
Aerodynamic elements include:
- Black high-gloss molding and dark metal accents throughout
- Streamlined canards enhancing monochromatic aesthetic
- 20 mm reduction in overall height
- Wide fenders accommodating 21-inch forged wheels
- Side skirts with three-hole details integrated with breather line
- Functional rear wing-type spoiler generating downforce
- Redesigned rear bumper with lower diffuser structure
Interior Configuration
The cabin combines premium materials including Chamude suede-like material on seats, door trim, and center console. Orange and grey stitching, quilting details, and seat belts display the Magma color identity. Buttons, switches, and emblems feature black high-gloss or dark metal finishes minimizing reflective glare.
The steering wheel incorporates Magma-exclusive elements including distinct rim design, black emblem, and orange accents on drive mode and boost buttons.

Powertrain Performance
The dual-motor system generates combined maximum output of 448 kW (609 horsepower) and peak torque of 740 Nm. Boost Mode increases performance to 478 kW (650 horsepower) and 790 Nm for approximately 15 seconds, maximizing acceleration responsiveness.
Technical specifications include:
- Extended maximum output range for rear motor ensuring stable high-power performance
- Top speed of 264 km/h
- 0-200 km/h acceleration in 10.9 seconds with Launch Control
- Launch Control delivering optimal starting torque from standstill
- Three drive modes: Sprint, GT, and MY (customizable e-LSD, ESC, and performance parameters)
Chassis and Braking Systems
The suspension system features recalibrated roll center and refined geometry. Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) and End-of-Travel (EoT) control systems balance cornering stability with ride comfort. Hydro G-Bushings in front suspension and dual-layer bushings in rear crossmember minimize vibrations and impacts.
Braking upgrades include:
- Front monoblock calipers with large-diameter discs optimized for 21-inch wheels
- Rear brakes with GG-rated high-friction materials
- Enhanced overall braking performance for wide tire configuration
Cabin quietness is maintained through Active Noise Control-Road, sound-insulating glass, and reinforced door sealing despite wide tire usage.
Digital Interface
Activating Magma Mode transforms the instrument cluster into a three-circle layout displaying motor and battery temperatures, speed, and G-force. The Head-Up Display provides simplified information including speed, regenerative braking levels, and remaining boost time.

Virtual Gear Shift System
VGS adjusts motor output, torque, and regenerative braking to replicate shifting sensations and driving dynamics of high-performance internal combustion engine vehicles. The system simultaneously reproduces high-revving engine sound for immersive driving experience.
When VGS and HPBC engage, the cluster displays performance-oriented metrics, including performance timer and pedal input levels.
Performance Driving Modes
Drift Mode combines power distribution and e-LSD supporting rear-wheel-focused driving. HPBC optimizes battery temperature for peak performance during racing or drag driving.
