GMC is marking 25 years of the HUMMER nameplate with the limited-run 2027 HUMMER EV ICON | 25, offered on 2X and 3X trims of both the Pickup and SUV. The special edition makes its public debut July 15, 2026, at the ESPYS in New York City, where GMC returns as Official Vehicle Sponsor. The annual ceremony, produced by ESPN, Full Day Productions and Fanatics Studios, honors figures from sports and entertainment and raises funds for the V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by ESPN and coach Jim Valvano at the first ESPYS in 1993. The ICON | 25 arrives alongside broader updates to the 2027 HUMMER EV lineup, including a native NACS charging inlet across all models.

A 25th-Anniversary Edition Inspired by the H2
The ICON | 25’s exterior color takes its name and inspiration from the yellow paint that distinguished the original HUMMER H2. GMC pairs it with a Jet Black interior and a black front approach shield. Each vehicle carries serialized badging on the instrument panel identifying it as part of the limited production run, along with infotainment graphics in the drive-mode menu that reference past HUMMER models. GMC will also include an exclusive keepsake with each ICON | 25.

Powertrain, Charging and Tech Across the 2027 Lineup
Beyond the anniversary edition, the entire 2027 HUMMER EV lineup adopts a native NACS charging inlet and continues to offer available bidirectional vehicle-to-home charging, which can help power a properly equipped home during an outage when paired with GMC’s PowerShift Charger and V2H Enablement Kit. The model year adds five exterior colors — ICON, Dark Ridge, Azurite Blue, Dark Ember and Deep Void Matte — plus two new 22-inch wheel designs.
Off-road capability remains a core focus, with available drive modes, 4-Wheel Steer with CrabWalk and King Crab, Air Ride Adaptive suspension, and Extract Mode, which can raise the vehicle roughly 6 inches to clear obstacles. Customer tech carries over as well, including available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance, the Infinity Roof with removable Sky Panels, and up to 18 camera views available on the Pickup.
GMC estimates the 3X Pickup, equipped with the optional 24-module battery, produces up to 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mph time as low as 2.8 seconds.
Production Timeline
Production of the 2027 HUMMER EV and ICON | 25 begins later this year at GM’s Factory ZERO Assembly Center in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, for sale in the U.S. and Canada. GMC has not yet announced MSRP, saying pricing details will come closer to production.
