Following Oliver Rowland’s decisive triumph in the Drivers’ World Championship in Berlin, the season concluded with the 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix. Driver Nick Cassidy closed out the season in dominant fashion, earning back-to-back victories in Rounds 15 and 16 for a run of three consecutive wins. GEN3 Evo iON Tire Excels on Demanding Circuit
The ExCeL London circuit, Formula E’s only indoor-outdoor track, presented unique challenges for drivers and teams. The course featured 20 technical turns, dramatic lighting transitions, and highly unpredictable grip levels due to its mixed surfaces of polished indoor concrete and abrasive outdoor asphalt. These conditions placed immense demands on tire performance, leaving drivers with almost no margin for error.
The Hankook GEN3 Evo iON Race tire rose to the occasion, showcasing its superior thermal stability and consistent traction. This reliability gave drivers the confidence to execute late-braking maneuvers, accelerate hard out of corners, and complete clean overtakes under immense pressure. In a championship where split-second decisions are critical, the tire proved to be a key competitive asset.
Manfred Sandbichler, Senior Director of Hankook Motorsports, commented on the successful season. “This season has been an incredible showcase of what electric motorsport is capable of: fast, fierce, and forward-thinking,” he stated. “Our tire has performed across diverse circuits and weather scenarios, and the London E-Prix was no exception. Congratulations to the Drivers’, Teams’, and Manufacturers’ World Champions, and heartfelt thanks go out to the entire Formula E community for another electrifying season.”
Looking Ahead to Season 12
As Season 11 draws to a close, Hankook is preparing for its final season as the official tire supplier for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. With Season 12 on the horizon, the company remains dedicated to advancing e-mobility through sustainable innovation. Hankook continues its commitment to developing next-generation tire technology and delivering race-proven performance that pushes boundaries, both on and off the track.
