Hyundai Translead has been appointed the official North American distributor for Hyundai Motor Company’s XCIENT Fuel Cell Trucks, a move that reinforces Hyundai’s leadership in hydrogen-powered commercial transport and its commitment to zero-tailpipe emission technology.
By unifying its van trailer portfolio, commercial vehicles, and advanced technologies under one umbrella, Hyundai Translead aims to simplify procurement, improve operational efficiency, and support the evolving needs of fleet customers pursuing sustainability goals.
Expanding Hydrogen Truck Deployment
Since the global debut of the XCIENT Fuel Cell in 2020, Hyundai has delivered over 3,500 fuel cell commercial vehicles worldwide, including more than 250 heavy-duty XCIENT trucks. In the U.S., Hyundai has already deployed 35 units in California, backed by the NorCAL ZERO Project and the EPA’s Targeted Airshed Grants program.
Further expanding its hydrogen footprint, 21 additional XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks have been introduced to support logistics aligned with the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America facility in Georgia — underscoring the company’s integrated clean mobility ecosystem.
