Hyundai Translead Names Range Zero Emissions XCIENT Dealer

Hyundai Translead has named Range Zero Emissions an authorized commercial vehicle dealer, extending XCIENT Fuel Cell sales and service to Washington fleets from Range's Fife showroom and across the Pacific Northwest.

Hyundai Translead has added Range Zero Emissions to its authorized commercial vehicle dealer network, extending sales and service coverage for Hyundai Motor’s XCIENT Fuel Cell truck to fleets across Washington. Range will support XCIENT customers primarily from its flagship showroom and service center in Fife, Washington, with additional opportunities across the broader Pacific Northwest. The appointment widens the customer-facing footprint Hyundai Translead has built out since taking on North American distribution of the hydrogen-powered truck.

Highlights

  • Range Zero Emissions joins the XCIENT Fuel Cell dealer network, with coverage centered on Washington and extending into the wider Pacific Northwest.
  • Sales and service run through Range’s flagship showroom and service center in Fife, Washington.
  • Range describes itself as the largest multi-OEM commercial EV distribution platform in the United States, combining vehicles, infrastructure, financing, incentive expertise, service, and support in a single channel.
  • Range is backed by Ziegler Companies, which the company says brings more than 100 years of transportation and equipment experience.

What Range Zero Emissions Brings to the Network

Range positions itself as an independent partner that consolidates the commercial EV purchase and deployment process, giving fleets access to multiple manufacturers alongside charging and fueling infrastructure, financing, incentive guidance, service, and ongoing support. The company says its role includes helping customers evaluate competing zero-emission technologies against their own operational requirements before committing to a platform — a consultative function that matters in hydrogen, where fueling access and duty-cycle fit remain the practical gating factors for adoption.

That framing is what makes the Fife site relevant to XCIENT specifically. Rather than adding a truck line to a conventional dealership, Hyundai Translead is placing the XCIENT inside a channel already organized around zero-emission fleet transitions.

“Hyundai has established XCIENT Fuel Cell as an important offering in the zero-emission commercial vehicle market, and we’re proud to bring it into the Range portfolio,” said Johannes Ariens, CEO of Range Zero Emissions. “We see significant potential for hydrogen in commercial transportation and look forward to expanding awareness and adoption of the technology across the Pacific Northwest.”

Building Out the XCIENT Dealer Footprint

Hyundai Translead is the exclusive distributor of Hyundai’s XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks in North America, and the Range agreement continues a staged build-out of the commercial vehicle dealer network supporting that platform. The company frames the strategy as assembling partners equipped to carry customers through the full ownership cycle rather than the initial sale alone, and cites recent XCIENT expansion efforts in California as evidence of building momentum for hydrogen-powered freight.

“Every fleet’s journey is unique, shaped by its operations, goals, and priorities,” said Sean Kenney, CEO of Hyundai Translead. “Working with Range Zero Emissions helps bring valuable industry knowledge and regional insight closer to customers. We look forward to supporting fleets together with transportation solutions that align with their needs.”

Hyundai Translead, headquartered in San Diego and wholly owned by Hyundai Motor Company, manufactures dry and refrigerated van trailers, flatbeds, truck bodies, and dollies in addition to its XCIENT distribution role.
