The Isuzu D-Max EV is powered by a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery and features dual electric motors, delivering a total output of 140 kW and 325 Nm of torque. This setup allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 10.1 seconds and reach a top speed of over 80 mph. With a WLTP range of 263 km, it suits various commercial needs.

Despite its electric design, the D-Max EV retains the ruggedness of its diesel counterpart. It offers full-time 4×4 with multi-level regenerative braking and an Eco Mode to extend range. The truck supports a payload exceeding 1,000 kg and can tow up to 3.5 tonnes. It also features a 600 mm water wading depth and 210 mm ground clearance, with approach and departure angles of 30.5° and 24.2°.

Available in two premium trims—equivalent to the diesel DL40 and V-Cross—the D-Max EV comes in Extended Cab and Double Cab options. These include leather upholstery, heated front seats, Bi-LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, and advanced infotainment.

A new De-Dion rear suspension replaces the traditional leaf spring setup, reducing cabin noise and vibration by up to 10% under full acceleration, ensuring a smoother ride. With zero tailpipe emissions, it’s an eco-friendly choice, enhanced by regenerative braking and Eco Mode.

Yasuhiro Takeuchi, Executive Vice President of Isuzu Motors International Operations (Thailand), said, “We are incredibly proud to unveil The New Isuzu D-Max EV here in Birmingham. This model represents a major milestone for Isuzu and the commercial vehicle sector.”
