1,000+ Ultra-Fast Charging Bays Coming in 2025

Kia America and its fellow IONNA partners are celebrating the nationwide expansion of the IONNA charging network, marking a major milestone for EV infrastructure in the U.S. This transition from public beta to full-scale deployment underscores a commitment from eight leading automakersBMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Stellantis, and Toyota—to build a reliable, high-speed charging network. The first-ever IONNA Rechargery in Apex, NC, and the opening of IONNA’s new headquarters and Customer Experience Lab in Durham, NC, set the stage for this ambitious rollout.

  • IONNA successfully completed over 4,400 charging sessions across 80+ EV models during testing.
  • More than 100 charging sites have already been contracted, with new Rechargeries opening in Houston, TX, and Abilene, KS, alongside seven more locations under construction.
