VinFast has finalized franchise agreements for three new U.S. dealerships in Redondo Beach and Tustin, California, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, all scheduled to begin operations in September. The company says the locations will provide sales, maintenance, warranty, and aftersales support for its two electric SUVs, the VF 8 and VF 9. VinFast North America CEO Brian Finnerty framed the three dealership agreements as part of a longer-term U.S. buildout that also includes the company’s Certified Pre-Owned program.
Highlights
- Three new franchise dealerships signed in Redondo Beach, California; Tustin, California; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- September start for sales and service operations at all three locations
- VF 8 (D-segment) and VF 9 (E-segment) electric SUVs available for consultation and purchase on site
- Certified Pre-Owned program backed by factory warranty coverage of up to 10 years, according to the company
Where Are the New VinFast Dealerships?
Two of the three dealerships sit in Southern California, in Redondo Beach and Tustin. The third is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All three are franchise operations offering both sales and service.
VinFast says it continues to identify, evaluate, and engage potential dealer partners in additional locations across the United States. The company did not name the dealer groups behind the three new agreements.
What Services Will the Dealerships Provide?
According to the company, the three locations will offer maintenance services in line with VinFast’s global standards, warranty support, and aftersales services once they open in September. Customers will be able to view and receive consultation on the VF 8 and VF 9 at each site.
VinFast describes the expansion as a customer-experience investment, with a focus on building out service capabilities in key markets so that both existing owners and prospective buyers can access sales, maintenance, warranty, and aftersales support locally. The company says the broader network is intended to add convenience across the ownership cycle and help lower total cost of ownership. The dealership push follows the company’s move earlier this year to name Repairwise an authorized U.S. after-sales partner, extending service coverage into areas where its dealer footprint is still developing.
Brian Finnerty, CEO of VinFast North America, said: “Our vision is clear: VinFast is continuing to build for the next phase of growth by investing in the customer experience, strengthening our team, continuously enhancing our products, policies, and sales and service network. These new dealerships will ensure customers can access comprehensive sales, maintenance, and warranty support right in their local communities. This is more than an expansion of our network. It is a long-term commitment by VinFast to the U.S. market as we enter our next chapter of growth.”
Certified Pre-Owned Program
Alongside the dealership additions, VinFast says it is continuing to build out its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program in the U.S. The program offers pre-owned EVs subject to the company’s inspection standards, backed by what VinFast markets as its “America’s Best Electric Vehicle” factory warranty, with coverage of up to 10 years.
The company positions the CPO program and the dealer network expansion as components of a single North American strategy centered on a customer-focused ownership ecosystem. VinFast’s current U.S. lineup is anchored by the VF 8, which starts at $39,900 in Eco trim, and the larger VF 9.
