The Kia PV5 Passenger will be offered in two well-equipped grades: ‘Essential’ and ‘Plus’. The entry-level ‘Essential’ grade is priced from £32,995 and is available with either the standard range or long range battery pack. The higher-spec ‘Plus’ grade, which comes exclusively with the long range battery, offers additional premium features. Exact pricing for the long range variants will be announced closer to the launch date.
Customers can choose between two battery options to suit their needs. The standard range 51.5kWh battery provides a range of up to 179 miles on a single charge, while the long range 71.2kWh battery extends this to 249 miles. Both batteries support 400V fast charging, allowing the PV5 to be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes when connected to a 150kW charging point.
Initially, the PV5 Passenger will be available with a 5-seat configuration, providing ample space for passengers and cargo. With all seats in place, the van offers 1,320 liters of luggage capacity, which expands to 2,315 liters when the second row is folded. A 7-seat version is planned for future release, offering even more flexibility for larger groups or families.
Every PV5 Passenger comes generously equipped with features such as LED lighting, automatic headlight control, electrically adjustable heated mirrors, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen navigation system with Android Automotive OS. Safety features include forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keep assist, and smart cruise control. The ‘Plus’ grade adds luxuries like alloy wheels, electric folding mirrors, heated front seats, and a powered tailgate.
The PV5 is the first in Kia’s lineup of dedicated electric vans, with the larger PV7 slated for 2027 and the PV9 in 2029. These models will further expand Kia’s offerings in the electric commercial vehicle segment.
