LAZ Parking Invests in Epic Charging for EV Expansion

LAZ Parking invests in Epic Charging to deploy 50,000 Level 2 EV chargers across North American hotels, airports, and commercial properties using AI-powered energy management technology.

LAZ Parking has made a strategic investment in Epic Charging, a Silicon Valley-based EV charging software provider. The partnership targets deployment of 50,000 Level 2 charging stations across LAZ’s real estate portfolio throughout the United States and Canada.

Highlights

  • LAZ Parking and Epic Charging partner to deploy 50,000 Level 2 EV chargers across North America
  • Deployment spans hotels, commercial properties, airports, surface lots, and municipal parking operations
  • Epic’s Charge Point Management System integrates with LAZ’s existing parking platform
  • Investment will accelerate development of Epic’s AI-powered Charge OptimAIzer® energy management system

Deployment Scope and Strategy

The rollout supports LAZ’s “Charge Where You Park” initiative and will encompass multiple property types:

  • Hotels
  • Commercial and mixed-use properties
  • Surface lots
  • Airports
  • Municipal parking operations

LAZ operates over 1.6 million parking spaces across more than 4,000 locations in 42 states and 536 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Technology Integration

Epic’s open-protocol Charge Point Management System (CPMS) integrates with LAZ’s parking platform. The system provides charger monitoring, predictive maintenance, payment automation, and real-time analytics.

“We’re doubling down on our Charge Where You Park strategy by expanding our partnership with Epic Charging, the leading EV charging software company in North America,” said Alan Lazowski, Chairman and CEO of LAZ Parking.

AI-Powered Energy Management

Epic Charging will direct the investment toward accelerating development of Charge OptimAIzer®, an AI-powered energy management system. The cloud-based platform analyzes real-time data from vehicle telematics, charger telemetry, and utility pricing signals to balance loads, reduce costs, and improve reliability.

“This collaboration enables us to deploy our Charge OptimAIzer® technology at scale, transforming everyday parking spaces into smart, efficient EV charging destinations,” said Michael Bakunin, CEO and Co-Founder of Epic Charging.
