Lexus has introduced the all-new ES at the Shanghai Motor Show, held from April 23 to May 2, 2025. This eighth-generation sedan, set for a global rollout in mid-2026, represents a milestone in Lexus’s electrification journey. Offering both hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) options, the ES aligns with the brand’s commitment to carbon neutrality while maintaining its reputation for luxury and comfort. The unveiling highlights Lexus’s new design philosophy and cutting-edge technology, appealing to a global audience across more than 80 countries.

Lexus Unveils New Electrified ES

The new ES exterior blends elegance with functionality, adopting a “Clean Tech x Elegance” approach. Its aerodynamic shape accommodates underfloor batteries without sacrificing cabin space. The front features a refined spindle design, with HEV models incorporating a slim grille for cooling efficiency. Inside, the cabin offers a spacious feel, enhanced by an 80 mm longer wheelbase and a panoramic roof with adjustable dimming. The Responsive Hidden Switches provide intuitive controls, while the Sensory Concierge personalizes the environment with synchronized lighting, climate, and fragrance settings.

Performance is elevated with a reinforced TNGA GA-K platform, improving rigidity and ride quality. The HEV lineup includes updated 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter hybrid systems, while BEV models offer front- and all-wheel-drive options with ranges up to 685 km. Safety is bolstered by the latest Lexus Safety System+, featuring upgraded Radar Cruise Control and Adaptive High-beam System. This ES redefines luxury sedans with its blend of electrification, technology, and design.
