Originally unveiled at SXSW 2023 under the name Lightship L1, the AE.1 Cosmos Edition represents a groundbreaking step in sustainable recreation. The model, designed and manufactured at Lightship’s Broomfield, Colorado facility, will enter production in mid-2025.

Future Trims and Availability
In addition to the Cosmos Edition, Lightship plans to launch three additional AE.1 trims—Atmos, Panos, and Terros—offering diverse feature sets and price points to cater to a wider audience. The Cosmos Edition will first be offered to early reservation holders, with broader availability following shortly after.
