Expanding Municipal Fleet Electrification
Pioneer Power will provide the City of Long Beach with a 250kW e-Boost Mobile ‘Stretch’ unit. This high-capacity, mobile charging solution is designed to help the city accelerate its fleet electrification goals. The e-Boost system allows municipalities to expand their EV fleets without incurring the significant costs and potential delays associated with permanent grid infrastructure upgrades.
The ‘Stretch’ model combines ChargePoint chargers and power modules on skids, offering the feel of a permanent installation with the flexibility and rapid deployment of a mobile unit. This investment reflects the city’s commitment to sustainability and modernizing its public services.

The city sees the technology as crucial to its electrification efforts and its vision for sustainable mobility.
Nathan Mazurek, CEO of Pioneer Power, stated that the order demonstrates the versatility of the e-Boost platform beyond traditional transit use cases. He emphasized that the system is well-suited for the demanding needs of sanitation and public works fleets.
