Lucid Group, Inc. has launched the Lucid UX 2.4 software update for its Lucid Air vehicles, offering a range of new features and enhancements. The update includes improvements to the DreamDrive™ Pro Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a new voice-controlled Lucid Assistant, and more than a dozen user-requested updates. The update is delivered over-the-air, ensuring seamless installation for Lucid Air owners.

- DreamDrive Pro Enhancements: Includes Lane Change Assist, 3D lane visualization, and enhanced curve control.
- Lucid Assistant: Voice control system for navigation, audio, climate, and other vehicle functions.
- Improved Map Design: Enhanced legibility for easier navigation.
- User-Requested Updates: Faster Lucid Mobile App, new surround view monitoring, and other convenience features.
Advanced Driver Assistance System Updates
Lucid’s DreamDrive Pro system has been significantly improved, adding high-definition maps for more detailed driving information. The new Driver-Initiated Lane Change Assist allows for lane changes with a long press of the turn signal, while 3D lane visualization gives drivers a clearer sense of their surroundings on highways. Additionally, curve control in Adaptive Cruise Control makes driving on winding roads smoother and more intuitive.
Lucid Assistant: Hands-Free Convenience
The new Lucid Assistant is designed to make vehicle controls easier and more intuitive. Activated by simply saying “Hey Lucid” or pressing a button, it allows drivers to control navigation, audio, climate settings, and more. The assistant replaces the previous Alexa system and can be enabled or disabled in the vehicle’s settings.
Enhanced User Experience
Lucid Air’s software update also includes several owner-requested features:
- Faster Lucid Mobile App: Improved response times and connectivity.
- Park Distance and Rear View Monitoring: Automatic closure of screens at speeds above 6 mph.
- HomeLink Controls: Accessible while in reverse gear.
- Wireless Apple CarPlay®: Turn-by-turn navigation is now displayed on the instrument cluster.
Seamless Over-the-Air Updates
The Lucid UX 2.4 update is rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) technology. Owners receive a notification through the Lucid mobile app and in their car, allowing them to schedule updates at a convenient time. This OTA functionality makes updating the vehicle as easy as updating a smartphone.
