Lynk & Co 07GT Debuts With 523-HP Hybrid Powertrain

Geely Auto Group launched the Lynk & Co 07GT performance wagon in four variants, with all-wheel-drive versions producing 523 horsepower and a 28.3 kWh Short Blade Battery supporting 884 miles combined.

Geely Auto Group has launched the Lynk & Co 07GT, a performance wagon whose all-wheel-drive variant produces a combined 523 horsepower (390 kW) from its EM-P intelligent hybrid system. The model arrives in four variants and moves the brand into a body style built around both commuting and long-distance travel. Geely Auto Group also used the launch event to unveil a rally-prepared version of the car, which CEO Jerry Gan said will compete on behalf of Lynk & Co at a rally event in August.

Highlights

  • All-wheel-drive versions deliver combined output of up to 523 horsepower (390 kW) and 564 lb-ft (765 Nm) of torque
  • A 28.3 kWh Geely Short Blade Battery supports a combined driving range of up to 884 miles (1,422 km) under applicable test conditions
  • Roof rails carry a static load rating of 331 pounds (150 kg) and a dynamic rating of 220 pounds (100 kg)
  • Four variants launch alongside a rally-prepared car scheduled to compete in August

What Powers the Lynk & Co 07GT?

The entire lineup runs Geely’s EM-P intelligent hybrid system. According to the company, the all-wheel-drive configuration reaches combined output of up to 523 horsepower (390 kW) and combined torque of up to 564 lb-ft (765 Nm), which Geely positions as headroom for highway passing and steep grades.

Energy storage comes from a 28.3 kWh Geely Short Blade Battery embedded in the vehicle. Geely states the pack supports a combined driving range of up to 884 miles (1,422 km) under applicable test conditions. The 07GT also supports external power discharge of up to 6 kW, intended for camping and other outdoor use.

Chassis Tuning and Stability Testing

The 07GT carries an MRC magnetorheological suspension system that continuously adjusts damping to help hold the vehicle stable. To assess behavior under loads typical of wagon use, the company says the 07GT completed special-condition moose tests certified by CATARC, evaluating handling with additional load aboard.

Design work was shared between Geely’s teams in China and Europe. The result is a wide, low-slung stance that pairs traditional wagon proportions with a more performance-oriented profile, built on the principle that every element should contribute to the driving experience.

Rallying Joins Circuit Racing

The rally-prepared 07GT shown at the launch extends Lynk & Co’s motorsport activity beyond the circuit racing the brand has previously contested. Gan announced that the car will run in a rally event in August. Geely frames the move as an application of the brand’s “More Than a Car” positioning, connecting competition work to a production model aimed at recreational use.

Load, Towing, and Cockpit Systems

The 07GT is configured for recreational and long-distance travel. Roof rails are rated at 331 pounds (150 kg) static and 220 pounds (100 kg) dynamic. An electrically deployable concealed tow hitch provides a maximum permitted towing capacity of 1.6 tons, enough to pull a trailer or carry additional equipment.

Inside, the wagon uses the LYNK Flyme Auto 2.5 Intelligent Cockpit system. Higher-specification models add the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H7 assisted-driving package. Geely says the G-ASD architecture supports driver-assistance and active-safety functions across urban, highway, and parking scenarios, including G-AES emergency obstacle avoidance and AEB forward-collision mitigation. The launch follows other recent Geely hybrid powertrain efficiency claims from the group.
