Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 Begins Chile Deliveries

Mercedes-Benz Trucks delivered the first eActros 600 battery-electric long-haul trucks in Chile to Empresas Cavalieri, featuring 621 kWh LFP battery capacity and 500-km range for beverage logistics operations.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has delivered the first battery-electric eActros 600 long-haul trucks in Chile, marking the model’s entry into the South American market. Empresas Cavalieri received the initial unit and will operate it along the Santiago–Viña del Mar corridor in the Valparaíso region for beverage logistics. Six additional eActros 600 units are scheduled for delivery to Chilean customers in the coming weeks.

Highlights

  • Empresas Cavalieri received the first eActros 600 in Chile, operating the truck on beverage transport routes for major producer Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas (CCU).
  • The eActros 600 delivers 500 km of range per charge, enabling depot-to-depot operations without intermediate charging stops.
  • Chile became the first South American market for the eActros 600, with sales partner Kaufmann S.A. providing a full e-mobility ecosystem including technical consulting and driver training.
  • The truck’s three LFP battery packs total 621 kWh of installed capacity, engineered for up to 1.2 million km over a ten-year service life.

CCU Drives Fleet Electrification

Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas (CCU), one of the largest beverage producers in Chile and South America, is advancing the electrification of its freight operations through its partnership with Cavalieri. The eActros 600 deployment represents another step in CCU’s broader sustainability initiative.

The truck’s 500-km range allows Cavalieri to complete its assigned routes entirely on a single charge. This eliminates the need for en-route charging infrastructure on the Santiago–Viña del Mar corridor.

Chile’s E-Mobility Landscape

Chile spans more than 750,000 square kilometers with a north-south distance of roughly 4,200 km. The country has set a national target of carbon neutrality by 2050. Solar and wind power already account for a significant share of its energy supply, positioning Chile as one of the most promising markets for renewable energy globally.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ sales partner Kaufmann S.A. previously offered the first-generation eActros 300/400 in Chile. The company now provides an expanded battery-electric portfolio through the eActros 600 and its second-generation variants. Customers have access to a comprehensive support ecosystem that includes:

  • Nationwide mobility guarantees
  • Technical consulting and after-sales support
  • Driver training programs
  • Charging infrastructure advisory services

eActros 600 Technical Specifications
