Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the all-new eSprinter, marking a significant milestone in the automotive industry’s shift towards sustainability. This fully electric van, now available at U.S. dealerships with a starting price of $71,866, represents the forefront of the company’s electrification strategy.

The eSprinter is designed to meet the demands of modern fleets, offering zero emissions while maintaining impressive efficiency, range, and load capacity. Mercedes-Benz aims to set a new standard for the large van segment, providing an electrified option that does not compromise on performance or utility.

Mathias Geisen, Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, stated, “The Mercedes-Benz eSprinter underlines our claim to ‘Lead in Electric’ and kicks off the next stage of our electrification strategy.” The van’s versatility and flexibility make it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, from urban logistics to longer hauls.

Mercedes eSprinter: Electric Van Revolution

The eSprinter is equipped with a 170” wheelbase and a high roof, featuring a 113 kWh battery that offers a range of up to 273 miles based on WLTP cycle simulations. Its lithium/iron phosphate battery technology, which forgoes cobalt or nickel, is tailored for light commercial vehicles, promising durability and efficiency.

Customization options abound, with eXpertUpfitter solutions allowing for modifications such as shelving systems and heavy-duty floors, catering to various business needs. The eSprinter’s modular design further enhances its adaptability, ensuring compatibility across different wheelbases and battery sizes.

Key to the eSprinter’s appeal is its advanced electric powertrain, which includes a highly efficient motor and an electric rear axle, both new developments for Mercedes-Benz’s electric vans. This setup ensures robust performance alongside intelligent safety and assistance systems, including the standard Active Brake Assist and the optional digital rear-view mirror.

For increased efficiency, the eSprinter features three drive modes and five levels of regenerative braking, enabling customization of performance and energy consumption. Additionally, the Mercedes me connect services enhance the ownership experience by optimizing route planning and charging strategies.

Charging is made convenient with both AC and DC capabilities, allowing for fast charging times and easy access to a vast network of public charging points through Mercedes me Charge. The eSprinter comes with a comprehensive service package and a battery guarantee, ensuring reliability and peace of mind for owners.

As leasing remains a popular option, Mercedes-Benz offers competitive leasing terms for the eSprinter, reflecting its commitment to making electric mobility accessible to commercial customers. Production for the global market is already underway, with a focus on sustainability and carbon-neutral manufacturing practices.

The Mercedes-Benz eSprinter is now poised to redefine the large van segment, offering a sustainable, efficient, and versatile solution for businesses looking to electrify their fleets.
