Modine has introduced a new line of EVantage™ Electric Compressors and Valves, designed specifically for heavy-duty commercial electric vehicles (EVs). These components are engineered to enhance thermal management for both battery cooling and air conditioning, ensuring durability and reliability in harsh environments. The EVantage components are ready-to-integrate solutions that optimize performance in challenging conditions, maintaining efficiency and safety in high-use commercial EVs.
Key Highlights:
- EVantage High Voltage Electric Compressor: Ensures consistent performance in conditioning coolant for battery packs and air for cabin HVAC systems. It is adaptable to both 12V and 24V systems and is designed to withstand harsh conditions, including heavy vibrations and corrosion.
- EVantage 3-Way Coolant Valve: A compact solution with three 28mm ports, delivering consistent coolant flow to critical components such as battery packs, power electronics, and motors. It is also adaptable to 12V and 24V systems and is IP67-rated for durability.
- Designed for Harsh Environments: Both the compressor and valve are built to endure dust, dirt, water intrusion, and extreme vibrations, ensuring they maintain electrical integrity and functionality in the most demanding conditions.
“Our new EVantage Electric Components have been purpose-built for the harsh, high vibration environments experienced by Commercial EVs to provide high reliability and high durability operation,” said Gina Maria Bonini, Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Thermal Systems at Modine.
These components are part of Modine’s commitment to enhancing the reliability and longevity of commercial EVs, offering solutions that are rigorously tested and validated to meet the demands of heavy-duty applications.
