Einride has transitioned all Coop grocery deliveries in Sweden’s Uppland region to fully electric trucks. The deployment covers 23 stores north of Stockholm and spans more than 659,000 transport kilometers per year. Full-scale operations are expected in the first half of 2026.
Highlights
- Full regional electrification: All Coop deliveries across 23 Uppland grocery stores now run on electric trucks.
- CO₂ reduction: The shift from diesel is projected to eliminate approximately 912 tons of CO₂ annually, equivalent to removing 596 petrol cars from Swedish roads.
- AI-powered logistics: Einride’s Saga AI platform optimizes route planning to reduce vehicle count, energy use, and transport costs.
- 2030 target: The project supports Coop’s broader goal of achieving fossil-free transport by 2030.
How the System Works
Einride’s freight platform integrates electric trucks and charging infrastructure with its proprietary Saga AI planning software. The system uses operational and customer data to match transport demand with fewer vehicles and lower energy consumption.
“This milestone with Coop underscores the power of Einride’s freight mobility platform,” said Roozbeh Charli, Chief Executive Officer of Einride. “Transitioning an entire region to electric deliveries demonstrates our ability to deploy integrated hardware, software, and infrastructure in a way that improves fleet productivity.”
Emissions Impact and Scale
By converting these routes from diesel to electric, the partnership expects to cut roughly 912 tons of CO₂ per year. That figure is based on Swedish transport data and Einride’s own electrification research.
“At Coop, we believe that every delivery can make a difference for our customers and the local community,” said Peter Rosendahl, Head of Transport at Coop Sweden. “By partnering with Einride, we are taking a major step towards reducing our carbon footprint and proving that climate-smart logistics can go hand in hand with reliable grocery deliveries.”
Broader Commercial Context
Einride currently operates with more than 30 enterprise customers across seven countries. The company reports approximately $92 million in expected annual recurring revenue from signed contracts. Additionally, it claims over $800 million in potential long-term ARR through joint business plans.
In late 2025, Einride announced plans for a public listing through a proposed business combination with Legato Merger Corp. III (NYSEAMERICAN: LEGT). Completion of that transaction is expected in the first half of 2026.
