  • The rental aims to provide a cost-effective, eco-friendly transport solution for businesses looking for flexible, on-demand options.
  • The Mullen ONE joins Mullen’s other commercial EV, the Mullen THREE, in the market, both compliant with U.S. Federal Safety Standards, EPA, and CARB certifications.

Parasol Strategic Solutions, a prominent Turo host, has identified a significant demand in Jacksonville for a versatile, compact cargo van, particularly for businesses in need of efficient, short-term solutions. Bradley Shaw of Parasol noted that the Mullen ONE provides a nimble, eco-friendly option that caters to the growing need for cost-effective, sustainable urban transport. This pilot launch in Jacksonville is expected to gauge market interest, with plans to extend the service to Baltimore, Maryland, as the next phase.

David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive, commented, “This is a gateway opportunity for businesses of all sizes to experience the performance and benefits of Mullen’s Class 1 EV cargo van.” The goal is to offer businesses a hands-on experience with the vehicle, emphasizing its benefits in urban last-mile delivery and other logistical applications.

Mullen’s commercial EV lineup includes the Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, and the Mullen THREE, a Class 3 EV cab chassis truck, both purpose-built for the demands of urban delivery. Both vehicles are fully compliant with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, EPA, and CARB certifications. The Mullen THREE also recently qualified for significant state incentives, such as a $15,000 incentive through Massachusetts’ MOR-EV program and a $45,000 cash rebate via the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program (HVIP). Meanwhile, the Mullen ONE is eligible for a $3,500 rebate under the MOR-EV program, and both models qualify for a $7,500 Federal Tax Incentive, making them attractive options for commercial fleet operators.

In August 2023, Mullen began commercial vehicle production at its Tunica, Mississippi plant, with a recent expansion to include California Air Resource Board (CARB) certified vehicles. Additionally, Mullen has grown its commercial dealer network to include seven dealers, with a focus on expanding service coverage across the Midwest, West Coast, Pacific Northwest, New England, and Mid-Atlantic regions. With the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) status approval for its Tunica, Mississippi manufacturing center, Mullen continues to expand its reach and operational efficiency.
