Nissan, in collaboration with Acciona’s Silence, will bring compact and agile electric micro-mobility vehicles to the UK market. This partnership includes distribution and service rights for the Silence product range, such as the Silence S04 quadricycle and electric motorcycles, starting in October 2024.
The Silence S04 nanocar is designed for urban environments with two variants, the L6e and L7e. The L6e offers a range of 109 miles and a top speed of 28mph, while the L7e provides a range of 92 miles and a top speed of 54mph. Both variants feature quick and convenient charging options, including battery swapping and home or office charging through a removable battery pack.
Gareth Dunsmore, Managing Director e-Micro Mobility at Nissan AMIEO, expressed excitement about the expansion: “Following Italy, France, and Germany, I am excited to see our partnership now expanding to the UK. Through this Nissan partnership with ACCIONA, we’re ensuring that many more people across Europe have access to electric mobility and can embark on their EV journey. By opening access to Silence’s diverse range of alternative products, we are easing the EV transition by combining clean mobility with cutting-edge technology, in functional and flexible vehicles.”

This partnership is a strategic move under Nissan’s new business plan, The Arc, which aims to drive value and competitiveness through innovative collaborations. The plan includes launching 11 new models to boost sales and leveraging partnerships to explore new revenue streams and accelerate the transition to EVs.
Nissan’s commitment to sustainability and a cleaner future is further reinforced through this collaboration. By providing diverse mobility solutions and expanding into new markets, Nissan aims to lower the barrier to EV adoption, making it accessible for a broader audience.
Carlos Sotelo, CEO of ACCIONA’s mobility business and Silence, emphasized the changing needs of urban drivers: “The needs of drivers in today’s towns and cities are changing – their commute, their attitudes to mobility, and what constitutes a realistic and efficient way for them to get around urban areas. To respond to this, we need to think smarter, smaller, and lighter. Silence’s light electric vehicles (EV), partnered with Nissan’s strong distribution network, offer new, exciting, and clever options for urban mobility in Europe, shaping a more sustainable future.”
The Silence S04 nanocar, equipped with the My Silence app, offers a range of digital services, including keyless entry, location tracking, and battery status monitoring. This connectivity feature enhances the flexibility and convenience of urban mobility, allowing customers to share vehicle access with friends seamlessly.
