Dongfeng Nissan has revealed two new intelligent sedans for the Chinese market — the N6 plug-in hybrid and the new Teana, marking the next step in the automaker’s Re:Nissan transformation plan focused on innovation, electrification, and intelligent mobility.
Key Highlights
- N6 PHEV debuts with the largest battery in its segment in China
- New Teana features Huawei’s HarmonySpace5.0 intelligent cockpit
- Both models will launch in China by year-end
- Nissan emphasizes local innovation and electrification through its Dongfeng partnership

The unveiling event in Beijing showcased the N6, Nissan’s first plug-in hybrid sedan under the Dongfeng Nissan brand. Built on the company’s new energy technology platform, the N6 shares its architecture with the all-electric N7. The model pairs a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 21.1 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, offering an optimal balance of efficiency and performance.
Measuring 4,831 mm long, 1,885 mm wide, and 1,491 mm high, the N6’s sleek exterior combines V-Motion grille styling with expressive LED lighting and organic body lines. The spacious cabin is designed to meet the expectations of Chinese families seeking comfort, reliability, and intelligent driving experiences.
Nissan President and CEO Ivan Espinosa highlighted China’s role in the company’s strategy, stating:
“Under our Re:Nissan plan, we are redefining what Nissan delivers today and beyond. It’s about strengthening our core, reigniting Nissan’s heartbeat, and creating products that inspire excitement and trust.”

The New Teana: Smarter and More Sophisticated
The new Teana builds upon its legacy of premium comfort with a refreshed design and enhanced connectivity. It will be the first internal combustion engine vehicle in China to integrate Huawei’s HarmonySpace5.0 smart cockpit, along with a Huawei ‘SOUND’ audio system for an immersive in-cabin experience. The exterior features sharp, refined lines, reflecting a modern, upscale aesthetic aligned with the expectations of China’s mid-size sedan buyers.
Empowering Consumer Choice
Aligned with its global multi-powertrain strategy, Nissan continues to offer consumers in China a diverse range of powertrain options—from efficient ICEs to hybrids and fully electric models. This approach reinforces Nissan’s goal of delivering the right technology for each market at the right time.

Joint Ventures Driving the Future
Espinosa underscored the significance of Nissan’s partnership with Dongfeng, emphasizing how localized innovation and rapid electrification are helping to shape the future of mobility in China:
“Our teams in China are accelerating electrification, expanding our NEV portfolio, and helping position China as a key pillar in Nissan’s global strategy. Together we are shaping the future of mobility.”
