Español, paired with co-driver Borja Odriozola, dominated the challenging course, setting two special stage best times on Friday and holding off strong contenders through Saturday. Dutch driver Fabian Kamermans, alongside Stefan Müller, finished second, achieving his best Cup result yet. “It’s a great feeling to be on the podium at my home rally,” Kamermans said. “Sito was incredibly fast, but we nearly maximized our performance.” Christian Lemke, with co-driver Pascal Raabe, fought hard for third, briefly trailing Español by just two-tenths of a second before a setback dropped him back.
The Opel Mokka GSE Rally, driven by Strycek, turned heads with its power and agility, impressing over 50 guests from Opel Belgium and Opel Netherlands. Reinermann, who rode alongside Strycek, experienced the car’s potential firsthand. Jörg Schrott, Head of Opel Motorsport, noted, “The Mokka GSE Rally left a strong impression visually, acoustically, and in performance.”
The event underscored Opel’s push toward sustainable motorsport. The next round of the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup ‘powered by GSE’ is set for June 14-15 at the Rallye Vosges Grand-Est in France.
