Land Rover has confirmed Range Rover Sport Electric as its second all-electric model, with the SUV set to arrive later this year. The vehicle made its first public appearance in a private preview at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where prototypes tackled a series of driven challenges on the circuit. Land Rover says further specifications will be detailed later this year on the Range Rover Sport product site, ahead of the model’s on-sale date. The electric variant will complete the Range Rover Sport powertrain lineup, joining the existing plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid V8 gasoline, and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel options.

Goodwood Preview Puts the Electric Powertrain on Display
Range Rover Sport Electric follows Range Rover Electric, the brand’s first EV, which has been previewed at curated events through the British Summer Season. The Sport variant retains the model’s muscular form, now paired with a fully electric powertrain.
According to Land Rover, the electric powertrain delivers more power and torque than the current lineup, paired with a retuned chassis and a new interior sound designed for electric drive. At Goodwood, prototypes ran a series of driven challenges on the motor circuit, in a nod to the model’s past endurance feats.
“Electric power brings a new edge to Range Rover Sport. The preview at Goodwood Festival of Speed is only a glimpse of how this model will redefine performance SUVs again later this year, combining the refinement and immediate performance of electric drive while further elevating the unmistakable character of Range Rover Sport our clients already know and love,” said Martin Limpert, Managing Director.
When Will Range Rover Sport Electric Launch?
Land Rover has not set an exact on-sale date. The company says full specifications, pricing, and availability for Range Rover Sport Electric will be announced later in 2026.
