Regeny EV Charging Launches Ultra-Fast DXB Hub

Regeny EV Charging’s new ultra-fast hub near DXB Airport provides four 160 kW chargers, supporting the UAE’s surging EV adoption and government mandates for fleet electrification and sustainable infrastructure.

Regeny EV Charging has launched a major ultra-fast charging hub at the Mövenpick Grand Hotel Al Bustan, situated near Dubai International Airport (DXB). The facility features four 160 kW DC chargers designed to serve high-volume private and commercial traffic along one of the world’s busiest travel corridors. This strategic expansion directly supports the UAE’s rapid transition toward electrified transport and national infrastructure goals.

Highlights

  • Features four 160 kW DC ultra-fast chargers for rapid turnaround and minimal downtime.
  • Located two minutes from DXB, providing critical access for airport-bound traffic without requiring airport entry.
  • Supports a market where EVs reached a 7.7% share of new vehicle sales in H1 2025.
  • Complies with new Federal fleet electrification regulations for taxis and limousines.

Strategic Infrastructure Near DXB

The new hub at the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan provides high-power charging accessibility for both individual motorists and commercial operators. Each 160 kW unit allows for rapid top-ups, specifically engineered to handle the frequent, back-to-back sessions required by high-usage fleets. The site operates 24/7, ensuring alignment with global flight schedules and peak travel hours at the adjacent airport.

UAE Market Dynamics and EV Growth

Electric vehicle adoption in the UAE is accelerating, with nearly 24,000 units sold in 2024. Lower running costs and environmental benefits have driven consumer interest, with over half of residents now considering EV options. Analysts project that EVs will represent approximately 15% of all new vehicle sales in the Emirates by 2030.

Policy Leadership and Fleet Integration

Government initiatives, including the National Electric Vehicles Policy, have established unified technical standards to reduce range anxiety nationwide. New regulations now require taxi and limousine fleet operators to progressively integrate electric vehicles into their service offerings. Regeny designed this facility to bridge existing infrastructure gaps for these commercial sectors while maintaining transparent, standardized charging tariffs.

Collaborative Sustainability at Mövenpick

The partnership with the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan integrates green mobility into a primary hospitality and convention node. CEO Anish Racherla stated that the hub eliminates barriers for drivers in critical travel corridors, positioning Dubai at the forefront of smart mobility. The project complements the hotel’s existing sustainability efforts and its capacity to host large-scale corporate events and conferences.
