Rimac Automobili, a leader in electric hypercar innovation, recently announced a significant upgrade to its warranty program. The Nevera hypercar’s battery warranty now extends to 8 years with unlimited mileage. This extended coverage, offered complimentary to all new buyers, will also retroactively apply to all Nevera vehicles previously delivered, thereby offering an additional seven years of warranty.
The enhanced warranty reflects Rimac’s confidence in its advanced liquid-cooled 120kWh battery, developed and manufactured in-house. The Nevera battery, engineered to produce 1.4MW of power, was designed with specific goals in packaging, weight, and performance. Its unique H-shaped structure, diverging from the conventional flat-floor skateboard design, allows for a lower seating position, enhancing the driving experience.

Key to the battery’s performance is its innovative Lithium Manganese Nickel chemistry and water-glycol cooling plates. These plates are strategically placed to sandwich the cells, ensuring uniform and efficient cooling throughout the battery pack. Such design ingenuity enables the Nevera to demonstrate a wide array of capabilities. In a record-setting event last year, the Nevera achieved 23 speed and performance records in one day, requiring about 30 full-throttle acceleration runs in under 8 hours, with no significant performance degradation.
The Nevera’s prowess extends to its range and charging capabilities. It can travel 490 kilometers (WLTP) or 305 miles (EPA) on a single charge. Furthermore, it supports 500kW rapid charging, a feature that outpaces most current public charging infrastructure.
Hendrik Malinowski, Bugatti Rimac’s Commercial Director, emphasized the significance of this warranty extension: “A lot of mass-market electric vehicles cover their batteries for around 8 years, with mileage limited to roughly 100,000. Extending our warranty to eight years and unlimited miles for one of the world’s most advanced high-performance battery packs is hugely significant.”
This 8-year warranty covers all major battery faults and guarantees at least 75% of the original charge capacity at the warranty’s end. Rimac’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is further evidenced by its ongoing limited-volume Nevera production in Croatia, with global deliveries underway.
