Rivian Automotive has announced that it is opening sales of the Rivian Commercial Van (RCV) to fleets of all sizes across the United States. Previously available exclusively to Amazon, the all-electric commercial van is now accessible to businesses looking for a sustainable and cost-effective fleet solution. The van, which shares its platform with Amazon’s Electric Delivery Van (EDV), is designed to prioritize safety, driver comfort, and efficiency while lowering the total cost of ownership.
Key Highlights:
- Two size options: The RCV 500 and RCV 700 offer a payload capacity of up to 2,663 lbs and a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to 9,500 lbs.
- Advanced safety features: Includes automatic emergency braking, collision warnings, and 360-degree visibility, making it one of the safest commercial vehicles available.
- Integrated software: Rivian’s proprietary software stack manages vehicle operations, from unlocking doors to charging and acceleration, streamlining fleet management.
- Proven success: Over 20,000 Rivian EDVs are currently in Amazon’s fleet, delivering over a billion packages in 2024.
- Scalability for all businesses: Companies can purchase single vans or large fleets, making it a versatile option for businesses of all sizes.
