Rivian has introduced a singular creation, the 2026 R1S Quad Pebble Beach, a 1-of-1 vehicle designed as a unique expression of the company’s design and engineering principles. Commissioned exclusively for the Broad Arrow Monterey auction during the prestigious Monterey Car Week, this bespoke R1S celebrates the integration of high performance, off-road capability, and detailed artistry. The vehicle’s exterior is a tribute to the California coastline, featuring a custom Monterey Silver paint. This exclusive color, inspired by the soft morning light over Monterey Bay, is applied in a meticulous four-stage process that gives it the reflective quality of liquid metal. The sophisticated look is enhanced by premium painted cladding with warm undertones, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow.
Further custom touches include Laguna Beach Blue brake calipers, subtle badging, custom-etched door sill plates, and unique exterior lighting animations that signal its one-of-a-kind nature. The R1S is fitted with custom-forged 22-inch wheels featuring an exclusive three-tone finish designed specifically for this edition.
A Modern Coastal Retreat
The interior of the R1S Pebble Beach is designed to be a modern coastal sanctuary. A customized Coastal Canvas interior features supple, Pebble Stone-inspired Adventex upholstery, blending soft-touch materials with rugged durability. Echoing the natural textures of Big Sur, the cabin incorporates sustainable cork blended textiles and textured wood accents.
A unique gradient finish, inspired by the colors of a Pacific sunset, is found on the acoustically designed speaker grilles, floor mats, and other accents. This design element subtly incorporates teal blue, vivid red, and golden yellow, which are the signature colors of the Rivian Adventure Department. According to Rivian Chief Design Officer Jeff Hammoud, the vehicle was crafted to evoke a feeling of natural connection, masterfully balancing performance with artistry.
