Unplugged Performance, through its UP.FIT division, unveiled the nation’s first Tesla Model S Plaid designed specifically for law enforcement. Named the UP.FIT Tesla Model S Plaid Pursuit, this high-performance electric vehicle is geared to meet the demands of law enforcement and will initially be delivered to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for their Motorsports community outreach program.

The UP.FIT Tesla Model S Plaid Pursuit vehicle is built on the standard Tesla Model S Plaid platform, which features over 1,000 horsepower and a remarkable 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 1.99 seconds. UP.FIT has transformed this powerful base into a specialized police vehicle with features tailored to the needs of law enforcement. These modifications include a proprietary electrical wiring harness for Tesla vehicles, forward- and rear-facing warning lights integrated into the glass for improved aerodynamics, and side skirt lighting. The vehicle is also equipped with a push-bumper with warning lights, and integrated high- and low-frequency sirens that comply with California Title 13 regulations.
Performance upgrades include enhanced braking components and UP Forged lightweight wheels, providing superior handling and increased durability for high-speed pursuits. These modifications make the UP.FIT Plaid Pursuit not only duty-ready but also a zero-emission alternative to traditional patrol vehicles. With an estimated range of 345 miles and rapid acceleration, it offers a sustainable yet powerful solution for law enforcement needs.
