Hyundai Motor UK has unveiled the all-new IONIQ 9, a flagship electric SUV that builds on the success of the award-winning IONIQ lineup. This innovative vehicle combines advanced technology, spacious interiors, and impressive performance to meet the demands of modern electric mobility.

The IONIQ 9 stands out with its sleek, aerodynamic design featuring a drag coefficient of 0.27Cd. Advanced features include the Hyundai AI Assistant, which uses generative AI to control climate, navigation, and provide recommendations like local restaurants. This service comes free for three years with Bluelink Plus, then available as a feature on demand.
Powertrain options cater to various needs: the Long Range 218PS RWD, Long Range 307PS AWD, and Performance 427PS AWD. Acceleration ranges from 9.4 seconds (0-62 mph) in the base model to a swift 5.2 seconds in the Performance variant. All models include a heat pump, battery conditioning, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability with an internal three-pin plug.

Trim Levels and Equipment
The Premium trim, starting at £64,995, includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Bluelink services. Safety features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA 2.0) and Highway Drive Assist (HDA 2.0) come standard.
Upgrading to the Ultimate trim at £73,495 adds 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated rear seats, a BOSE sound system, Ergo Motion driver’s seat, and Active Noise Control-Road (ANC-R) for a quieter ride.
The top Calligraphy model, from £75,795, features 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather, a UVC sterilization tray, and optional six-seat configuration with a sliding console and rotatable second-row seats. Digital Side Mirrors are available as an option for £1,000 on Calligraphy variants.

All IONIQ 9 models use a 110kWh lithium-ion polymer battery with CCS Combo charging. Fast charging at 350kW reaches 10-80% in 24 minutes. Exterior colors include Ionosphere Green Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, and matte options like Gravity Gold for higher trims. Interior choices range from wool and leather in Premium to Nappa leather in Calligraphy, with shades like Obsidian Black and Dove Grey.
Paint options add £700 for metallic/pearl or £1,200 for matte finishes.
