Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles announced the addition of plug-in hybrid variants to its popular Multivan and Caddy Cargo line-ups in the UK. Based in Milton Keynes, the company is enhancing its offerings with the Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION and the Caddy Cargo eHybrid, both available for order starting today. These models combine practicality with eco-friendly technology, catering to diverse customer needs. Initial deliveries are slated for early summer, providing UK buyers with advanced hybrid options from Volkswagen’s trusted van range.

Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION Details
The Multivan eHybrid 4MOTION introduces an innovative all-wheel drive system, pairing an electric motor on the rear axle with a front-axle engine. It boasts a 19.7kWh battery, delivering a WLTP electric range of up to 57.2 miles. Available in Life and Style trims, as well as Standard and Long Wheelbase options, this model uses a 1.5 TSI 245PS 6-speed DSG 4MOTION powertrain. It retains its spacious design, offering seating for seven and luggage capacity from 469 liters to 1,844 liters with rear seats removed. Standard features in the Life trim include a 10-inch infotainment system, while the Style trim adds luxuries like heated seats and IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlamps.
Caddy Cargo eHybrid Overview
The Caddy Cargo eHybrid marks the first plug-in hybrid version of this panel van, powered by a 1.5 TSI 150PS 6-speed DSG engine. Available in Commerce, Commerce Plus, and Commerce Pro trims, it offers a payload of up to 740kg and a load volume of 3.7m³. Despite its compact size, it maintains a 2,150mm load length. The Commerce trim includes essentials like a 10.4-inch infotainment system, while higher trims add features such as heated seats and a rearview camera.
