WeaveGrid and Emporia Energy have announced a partnership aimed at making smart electric vehicle (EV) charging more accessible. This collaboration will integrate WeaveGrid’s software with Emporia Energy’s EV chargers, enhancing utility-managed charging programs and driving EV adoption.
Key Highlights:
- Cost Savings: Aligning charging times with periods of high renewable energy availability or low grid demand, paired with time-varying utility rates, reduces electric bills for drivers.
- Enhanced Grid Reliability: WeaveGrid’s software manages EV charging demand in real-time, ensuring grid stability and preventing potential strain on the distribution system.
- Charging Insights: Drivers receive detailed information about their charging patterns and costs through weekly summaries, providing more transparency compared to monthly utility bills.
WeaveGrid and Emporia will soon launch their partnership in select utility-managed charging programs administered by WeaveGrid.
