Westland Floral has expanded its commitment to sustainable transportation by ordering two Mullen THREE Class 3 electric trucks for use in Southern California. The vehicles, upfitted by Phenix Truck Bodies & Van Equipment, were procured through Pritchard and benefit from California HVIP incentives. This move underscores Westland’s focus on environmentally responsible fleet solutions and aligns with the growing trend of commercial EV adoption across the state.
- Mullen’s Commercial Lineup includes the Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, and the Mullen THREE, a Class 3 EV cab chassis.
- The Mullen THREE recently qualified for a $15,000 incentive through the Massachusetts MOR-EV program and a $45,000 cash rebate voucher from California HVIP.
- The Mullen ONE is eligible for a $3,500 MOR-EV incentive and an additional $7,500 Federal Tax incentive.
- Mullen operates two U.S.-based vehicle plants located in Tunica, Mississippi, and Mishawaka, Indiana, with commercial production begun in 2023.
- Both the Mullen ONE and Mullen THREE are in full compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the California Air Resources Board.
“Westland Floral’s decision to incorporate the Mullen THREE into their fleet demonstrates the growing recognition of EVs as a cost-effective and sustainable solution,” said Ben Hartford, EV sales manager for Pritchard Commercial. “By utilizing California’s HVIP incentives, they are not only reducing their operational costs but also making a meaningful commitment to environmental sustainability.”
David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive, said: “We are very confident our Class 3 trucks will deliver performance and savings, providing Westland a clean and efficient option for their fleet. It’s also great that Westland was able to take advantage of the California HVIP incentive, which is an incredible program and incentive offered to fleets in California.”
Mullen’s commercial EV focus extends beyond truck manufacturing. As a Southern California-based automotive company, it is actively building the next generation of electric vehicles, guided by strict adherence to clean air standards. With the recent expansion of its commercial dealer network to seven dealers across key regions, Mullen aims to serve a broad range of customers seeking sustainable transportation solutions. The Company’s growing footprint, combined with multiple state and federal incentives, positions Mullen as a compelling option for fleets looking to reduce emissions and lower operational costs.
