California-based ENC has teamed up with InductEV, a leader in wireless EV charging, to bring more wirelessly charged electric buses to North America. This partnership tackles supply chain woes and performance hurdles in transit by offering agencies a wider range of efficient, cost-effective electric bus options. With InductEV’s proven high-power wireless technology integrated into ENC’s Axess EVO-BE model, transit operators gain a hands-free charging solution that promises better uptime and lower maintenance costs compared to traditional wired systems.

This collaboration marks a leap forward for sustainable transit. ENC, known for its flexible bus platforms, integrates InductEV’s wireless charging into its Axess EVO-BE, available in 32’, 35’, and 40’ lengths. The system uses in-ground pads that activate when aligned with vehicle pads, offering a fully hands-free operation that enhances safety and cuts infrastructure clutter. It’s already in use by U.S. fleets in states like California, Washington, and Indiana, racking up over 3 million miles driven wirelessly.
