BYD‘s luxury arm, YANGWANG, introduces the U9, its inaugural pure electric supercar model, with a price tag of 1.68 million RMB. The company announced that deliveries are slated to begin this summer. This move marks a significant milestone for YANGWANG, positioning it at the forefront of the electric supercar market.
The U9 model reaches a top speed of 309.19 km/h and boasts an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds. It represents a blend of high-end technology and design, promising an unmatched driving experience.
At the core of the U9’s performance are two groundbreaking technologies: the e4 platform and the DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System. These innovations not only enhance the car’s efficiency but also redefine what is possible in the realm of electric supercars. The e4 platform, featuring four independent electric motors, offers agility and precision in torque output control. Meanwhile, the DiSus-X system provides an adjustable suspension, enhancing comfort and agility across various driving conditions.
The U9’s design language, dubbed “Time Gate,” showcases a unique blend of proportion, tension, and power, encapsulating the essence of a modern electric supercar. With 1,300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1680N·m, the U9 is as robust as it is sleek.
Key performance metrics further underscore the U9’s capabilities: it completes a 0-400m sprint in 9.78 seconds, benefits from enhanced cooling systems, and features advanced battery technology for efficient power management. The vehicle also includes a suite of active and passive aerodynamic elements to optimize performance and efficiency.
